HP Unveils TouchSmart 610 and 9300 | Elite All-In-one Touchscreen | Desktop PCs Having 60-degree Reclining Display | Price | Review

HP has unveiled the new HP TouchSmart610 Consumer PC and HP TouchSmart 9300 Elite Business PC which are its first touchscreen desktop PCs featuring 60-degree reclining display – that recline from upright to almost flat, providing consumers and business users increased comfort for longer-term use and making it easier for businesses to engage customers.

The new HP TouchSmart 610 and TouchSmart 9300 Elite All-in-one Touchscreen Desktop PCs offer consumers and businesses increased range of motion, superior viewing and an intuitive touch experience.

Both the TouchSmart 610 Consumer PC and TouchSmart 9300 Elite Business PC feature a 23-inch diagonal high-definition HD wide-angle LED backlit display that is equipped to recline up to 60 degrees and tilts forward up to five degrees providing extra comfort at application involving creating art projects, or playing games, while advanced multitouch technology allows for an accurate response.

Ideal for customer-facing environments in hospitality, retail and healthcare, both the TouchSmart610 Consumer PC and TouchSmart 9300 Elite Business PC comes preloaded with touch-optimized applications from Hulu, Netflix, Rhapsody and Twitter, as well as HP’s exclusive RecipeBox and webcam applications, and they also allows users to add new applications via the TouchSmart Apps Center.

The HP TouchSmart 610 is powered by either AMD or 3.07 GHz Intel’s i7-880 processors and features and comes with a choice of Windows 7 operating systems. In addition, it includes up to 16GB RAM, 2TB HDD, ATI Radeon 5570 graphics with 1GB dedicated video memory, a Blu-ray drive and an optional 160 GB solid-state drive (SSD) to enhance productivity.

The HP TouchSmart610 also features Beats Audio – a high-performance technology developed by HP and Beats by Dr. Dre, that allows listeners to hear music the way the artist intended it – just as it sounds in the studio.

The HP TouchSmart610 AIO touchscreen desktop includes 1.3 megapixel webcam and also features the new HP LinkUp application, allowing users to wirelessly connect any notebook PC to the TouchSmart desktop using a home network.

The HP TouchSmart 9300 Elite All-in-one Touchscreen Desktop PC is powered by 2nd generation Intel Core i5/i7 processors and comes with a choice of Windows 7 operating systems. In addition, it includes up to 16GB RAM and an optional 160 GB solid-state drive (SSD) to enhance productivity.

HP TouchSmart Elite 9300 Business PC’s also features a high-resolution, adjustable webcam with facial recognition software allowing enhanced security.

Price and availability

The HP TouchSmart610 Consumer PC is expected to be available in Feb end in the US for the starting price of $899.99 or about Rs. 40,950, while the HP TouchSmart 9300 Business PC is expected to be available in May 2011 in the US market for the price not yet declared.
