'68 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

The 1968 Chevy Camaro saw the deletion of the side vent windows and the introduction of Astro Ventilation, a fresh-air-inlet system. Also added were side marker lights on the front fenders, a more pointed front grille, a front spoiler, and divided rear taillights. The front running lights (on non-RS models) were also changed from circular to oval. The big block SS models received chrome hood inserts that imitated velocity stacks. The shock absorber mounting was staggered to resolve wheel hop issues and higher performance models received multi-leaf rear springs instead of single-leaf units. A 396 cu in (6.5 L) 350 hp (261 kW) big block engine was added as an option for the SS, and the Z28 appeared in Camaro brochures. 7,199 Z28s were sold in 1968.

Citroën C4 AIRCROSS

Citroën will soon add a new model to its range called the C4 AIRCROSS. For the time being, the French carmaker released a single teaser shot of the new car adding that the full reveal will follow next Friday.
However, it's almost certain the new model will be a crossover-ish version of the C4 hatchback in the likes of the same named C3 AIRCROSSER that was unveiled last year for the South American market.
If that's the case, expect the C4 AIRCROSS to feature a jacked-up suspension and SUV-like body armor in the form of bulkier front and rear bumpers, protective plastics around the wheel arches and the side skirts and prominent roof tails.
We'll post an update as soon as Citroën releases new material.

Video: New Maserati Kubang SUV

There's no doubt the Fiat Group has done a pretty good job revitalizing Maserati since it acquired the famed brand from De Tomso in 1993.And even though a much needed replacement for the Quattroporte sports saloon that has been on the market since 2004 has yet to be introduced, the Italians are already moving into new territory with the Kubang, the firm's first attempt in the SUV category.
Unveiled as a thinly disguised show car in Frankfurt earlier this month, the Kubang combines a Jeep Grand Cherokee-sourced platform with an Italian-styled body designed in Modena and an as-of-yet, unspecified engine that will be built by Ferrari in Maranello.
The new model, which will most likely be built in Detroit, is due on the market in 2013 – that is, if Fiat and Chrysler remains true to their word, as the Italian side of the group does have a tendency to constantly revise, delay or even in some cases completely scrap its plans.
Following its world premiere, Maserati has now published a new video of the Kubang. The promotional clip starts off with a little bit of history before it introduces the Kubang in digital form and under the sounds of an American song which says "we can do anything, we can be anyone, just close your eyes and try to see" - perhaps as a nod to current Jeep Grand Cherokee owners...
You can watch it in the video after the break.

LG Wants to Ban BMW and Audi Sales in South Korea

Electronics companies are amongst the fiercest rivals when it comes to protecting their patents – even a lioness with her cubs seems like a purring cat in comparison. That’s why in the world of high technology, lawsuits fly left and right, one of the most recent examples being the Apple - Samsung dispute over the their smartphones.
Nevertheless, we were surprised to learn today that LG Electronics and its subsidiary, the component-making LG Innotek Co., filled a lawsuit with a South Korean court seeking to block BMW and Audi from selling their cars in the country.
What is happening is that the two German luxury carmakers have been caught in the middle of a patent war between LG and Osram over LED technologies. LG seeks to stop their the German automakers' vehicles from being sold because they are equipped with Osram lighting systems.
“LG sued Osram at the Seoul Central District Court for purportedly infringing on LG-owned patents such as LED chips and packaging technologies that are widely used in LED light bulbs and cars”, LG spokesman Lim Young-min told the Korean Times daily.
“Because local branches of BMW and Audi are using Osram’s LED applications that infringe on LG patterns, we are seeking a complete ban on BMW and Audi car sales in South Korea”, the LG spokesperson added.
The situation gets even more complicated because Osram was the one to draw first blood by demanding that LG continued to pay loyalties for patents it used for several years.
LG refused to do so, having developed its own LED technologies, and counter-sued, dragging Audi and BMW into the middle of this, presumably as another form of pressure.

Nissan GT-R Takes on the Bugatti Veyron and the Porsche 911 Turbo S

Not to leave Motor Trend's recent speed challenge unanswered, rivaling car magazineRoad and Track brought the 2012 Nissan GT-R on the race track to see if it qualifies to enter the so-called "Two Second Club" which refers to vehicles that are able to break the 0-60mph (96km/h) sprint in under 3 seconds.
As pointed out by the magazine, few standard production cars can manage this feat - even the Corvette ZR1 fails to do so with a sprint time of 3.5 seconds, while the exotic Ferrari 458 Italia comes close, but does not make the cut at 3.0 seconds flat.
The 530-horsepower 2012 Nissan GT-R with a dirt cheap price tag (for this type of sports car) of $89,950, was put up against the Porsche 911 Turbo S, also with 530HP but with an MSRP of $160,700, and one of the most exclusive and powerful production cars in the world, the $2.8 million Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport with a mind-boggling 1,183-horses.

Bugatti Boss: Galibier Hyper-Saloon on Track but Design has Changed "Significantly"

It's been a long time since we last heard about the upcoming Bugatti Galibier – in April 2011, to be precise when it was reported that the luxurious sports saloon received the green light for production from the VW Group's management.
But while the project seems to be on course, the new head of Bugatti Automobiles, Wolfgang Duerheimer, told Autocar Magazine that the Galibier's design has been "significantly altered".
“I will suggest we continue development, but there will be some remarkable changes from the original concept,” Durheimer told the British publication.
“The design will be different, especially from the B-pillar back, the ingress and regress to the rear seats will be improved, as will the legroom and ergonomics, the car will be a little longer, and the power of the engine will be at least four figures.”
Duerheimer pointed out that the company made the changes after receiving input from Bugatti's customers.
“Half of Veyron owners have been in the car already,” he said. “You will still recognize the design from the concept, but now this is a design I can be 100% behind.”
The Galibier, which made its first public outing as a concept at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, makes use of a 16-cylinder engine that can run on biofuel as well as gasoline producing around 1,000 horsepower.
The luxurious sports saloon is estimated to cost around €1 million (US$1.34 million at the current exchange rates) when it arrives in the market in 2013 or 2014.
