Camaro To Be Sold To Dongfeng
GM is expected to announce later today at the New York International Auto Show that its Camaro nameplate will be sold off to the Chinese company Dongfeng, famous for its fake Hummer and Genesis-like Coupe. Over the next couple of years, Dongfeng will then transition the iconic American ponycar to its own front-wheel drive platform to cut costs, with the first of their revised Camaros hitting showrooms in 2013. The result is likely to be something like a Tiburon with a restyled Camaro front clip.
More news to come on this breaking development.
